The Government issued an Ordinance amending the Ordinance determining the conditions for entry into the Republic of Slovenia for the purpose of containment and control of the infectious disease COVID-19 and published it in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia.

With the amendments to the decree, the two exceptions (transit and international transport), which are valid only until 14 July 2021, apply until 15 August 2021. Entry into Slovenia without referral to quarantine at home and without the PCT condition applies to these two exceptions. allow until 15 August 2021.

Thus, entry into Slovenia without referral to quarantine at home and without the condition of PCT is allowed until 15 August 2021 :

  • to a person seconded to or from a mission in the international transport sector, as evidenced by a "Certificate for Workers in the International Transport Sector" set out in Annex 3 to the Commission Communication on the implementation of green lanes in the Guidelines on border management measures for health protection and ensuring the availability of goods and essential services (OJ C 96 of 24.3.20, p. 1) or by another relevant document from which it can be deduced that they have been referred by the employer;
  • a person who travels in transit through Slovenia and leaves it as soon as possible or no later than 12 hours after entry.

A person claiming one of the exceptions must provide the police with evidence of the existence of the exception, otherwise he is sent to quarantine at home. In the case of a foreigner without residence in Slovenia, he is allowed to enter Slovenia and sent to quarantine at home for ten days only if he unequivocally proves that he has a secured place where he will undergo quarantine, otherwise he will not be allowed to enter Slovenia. allow.

The purpose of extending the application of the exemptions is to enable persons working in the field of international transport and persons in transit to prepare for the new uniform regulation of the conditions of entry into Slovenia.
